Firefighter training is held the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall. The VFD is still collecting cans to help pay some expenses, so don't forget to take your cans to the "can corrals" at the Fire Hall. Any and all donations are appreciated and may be mailed to the Pineview VFD, 1268 South Toms Creek, Linden, TN 37096. The Department depends on community involvement to continue to operate, so help us help you and become involved in making Pineview a safer place to live. The Pope Volunteer Fire Department holds community/business meetings on the third Tuesday of every month. Firefighter training is held the first Tuesday of every month. To become part of the Pope VFD squad, please attend the business meeting. The squad currently needs an electrician to donate time to help install an emergency warning siren at the fire house. The Cedar Creek Volunteer Fire Department meets at the Fire Hall on the first Thursday of each month, except holidays, at 7:00 p.m. for business, and the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. for training exercises. Anyone interested in joining the department, please come by and complete an application. For more information, please call Eddie Reeves at 589-2376. The Flatwoods Volunteer Fire Department meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month, 7:00 p.m., at the Fire Hall. Training follows the business meeting. Fish fries are held the first Friday night, April through November, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
