The 2012  Buffalo River Springfest High School Girl's Softball Tournament is set for Friday evening, March 23 and all-day Saturday, March 24 at Lobelville's City Park.

Each year, the Buffalo River Springfest tournament adds two additional teams, on the way to our ultimate goal of sixteen to twenty small school (Class A and AA) teams.  Please know that budgetary constraints keep most small Class A and AA level schools from playing in many, if any, softball tournaments (aside from the annual TSSAA District Tourney games) during the Spring softball season. Perry County’s Buffalo River Springfest is the only invitational girl’s high school tournament in Tennessee that does not require the participating high school teams to pay any entry fee. 

We feed the players and coaches and give every player a t-shirt and commemorative lanyard/VIP credential.  In addition, the Buffalo River Springfest is the only high school tournament in the state that does not charge any admission fee for attending patrons and fans coming to the games.  The entire tournament is free admission to the public. Our grand sponsors, Bank of Perry County and the City of Lobelville underwrite the expense of the trophies, paying the umpires and putting on the tournament.

As an added attraction, the Tennessee Titans mascot T-Rac is scheduled to appear during the tournament on Saturday.
